It seems that a lot of northerners fleeing the high tax states flock to NC. I met quite a few and unfortunately, they all brought their liberal ideology with them even though they said taxes and weather were their reason for moving. So I guess NC is higher on the scale than many other states. However, the theme is familiar to what I have heard. I knew we had a crash coming in 2007 / 8 although was surprised at how it manifested itself but I did think that higher interest rates would be the catalyst. One never knows about employees, their spouses and their potential inheritances. I knew a few people who started small and just kept adding. The E7 though may be extended and we saw that with the flippers in 2007. The hot markets fell the hardest like florida and california. I had a few employees in low level jobs who were wealthy. One kid never cashed his paychecks and payroll called me and said he had like a years worth of uncashed checks. That was before we mandated auto deposit... I feel like you now. It won't be pretty. The Chinese will also try to crush us when it happens.
