Yeah, I agree, the IBD article seems to say that Microsoft is under the Dept. of Justice gun/microscope, while NOVL is free to frolic with its Netware-browser package with Netscape. But, I'm sure her opinion isn't the important thing, its the fact that Novell may be able to legally pump out Netware 5.0 products without any legal tie-ups to its release. We'll see. Of course Microsoft won't let this happen without a fight. I read somewhere that a pro-MSFT group said that consumers were not upset with MSFT's large dominance, it was the small companies trying to compete with them. Hmmmm, if its a monopoly in some sense, it doesn't matter what the customer thinks, its how the laws on anti-trust are interpreted. That was a weak argument and very naive. Coming from a family where my father was a venture capitalist, I'm for the small companies trying to innovate. Sure if Novell becomes the dominant player, it may face similar MSFT problems. At this point, I feel those are the kind of problems they would love to have <ggggg>.
