Hhhhhmmmm I have owned a Nissan Leaf all electric for 7 years,,, daily driver.
Charged at night, by in car timer , for lowest hydro rate. Charged one time at Petro charger ,for a lark.
Hydropower here,, no coal or natural gas,, occasionally solar power from smaller solar system.
Zero gasoline,, zero.
Drive a Volvo for 7 years,, tally total gallons,, litres burned over 7 years.for same mileage.
Volvo can say what they want.
Leaf will be 10 years old next year,, zero oil and filter change, zero tranny oil and filter change,,
Zero belts, zero hoses,, zero leaks… zero for all the other headaches associated with infernal combustion.
Minor battery degradation, and expect to drive it for another 5 years at least.
In Canada,, in my opinion,, having a garage to park it in,, would be recommended, because of climate.
This car was not purchased for marathon cross country trips but for 95 percent of our driving needs.
Bought it used for 15 grand,, before anyone new the value of all electric,,,,, at that time. |
