<<"But the political climate being what it is, the prosecution could not possibly bring in the proper charges. Which is to say that the whole trial
was a sham because they were pushing a political agenda rather than caring for justice and fairness.">>

Politics be damned if that over rides the rule of law. The prosecution is THE problem then, if what you infer, is a political agenda.
I still think the courts are somewhat lenient in the prosecution of high profile cases. It will be interesting the trial of Ahmaud Arbery's
murder, beginning to see if that judge disallows the words "murder", "victim", whatnot. In reality, that should be a slam- dunk murder conviction.

This shit seems to have gone ballistic since George Zimmerman got off with the Florida legal argument "Stand Your Ground" (amazing a guy with a
handgun runs down his innocent victim, kills him, and escapes justice on that?)

So, with the supreme court, once again, to rule on gun rights
Supreme Court Appears To Lean Toward Expanding Gun Rights
time.com

"In what may be a troubling sign for the gun-safety movement nationwide, the majority of justices on the U.S. Supreme Court seemed inclined
Wednesday to strike down a contested concealed-carry law, which could make it easier for millions of people to carry firearms in public."

Actually, that Supreme Court decision holds forth, then it should be entitled "Civilisation Lost"

I'm thinking the Supreme Court, the 'law is not blind" is bull shit with so- called "activist conservatism" (I took exception to William Rehnquist's court
pre- empting Florida voter rights in 2020).
