I have a philosophical point to make about this:

>> If he has criminal tendencies he will wind up in the slammer anyway, remember OJ Simpson acquittal for the murder of ex and her lover? Out of prison only recently

This is the essence of "fairness" in our world. On average, everyone gets what they deserve. It doesn't apply to when, where, what parents, or genes you are born with, but within some general outlines, you get what you deserve. People who are good, end up capitalizing on their good luck and leveraging it for a great life. People who are bad, end up squandering whatever 2nd and 3rd chances they get. Life being how it is, provides everyone with good and bad opportunities. And so on average everyone ends up where they should be. In the tail ends, some people end up much better or much worse than they deserve. But those are significant minorities of the people.

How many people do you know who keep making the same mistakes over and over? How many people do you know who climb the ladder no matter where they go to?
