Flagship Nvidia and AMD RX 7000 Series Prices and Power Consumption Have Been Leaked

November 20, 2021

To say the least, Nvidia's 30 Series graphics cards have sparked debate. Despite being released in the fall of 2020, 30 Series graphics cards are entirely sold out due to low supply and high demand, which is fueled by worldwide cryptocurrency farms. On the other hand, new details have emerged for the next generation flagship cards from both Nvidia (speculated to be RTX 4090) and AMD RX 7000’s power consumption and approximate pricing have been leaked.

According to the YouTuber RedGamingTech, following are the details that have been revealed -

RTX 40 flagship (RTX 4090):
  • Price: 1500-1700 US Dollars

  • Power Consumption: 500+ Watts

  • Performance target: 2.2x-2.4x over the 3090

  • Release date: Q3 2022. This claim can be backed by Kopite7kimi’s tweet

  • kopite7kimi @kopite7kimi

If nothing else, we will see 4090, 4080 and 4070 in 2022Q3. I don't think this is new information.

    Rx 7000 flagship (7900XT OR7950XT):
  • Price: USD 2000+.

  • Power Consumption: 375 Watts for the reference card, 450+ Watts for Board Partner Custom Cards (i.e. Asus' Strix Cards).

  • Performance target: 2.8x-3x over the 6900XT.

  • Release date: Q4 2022.

  • Some powerful GPUs, although the expected RTX 4090's power consumption is... something. It should be emphasised that much of this information is preliminary, but RGT's sources are most likely based on the potential Bill of Materials, particularly the top Rx 7000 card, which has very advanced 3D packaging and all.
