actually they are stating a new turn-point in the corporate strategy by publishing such an explicit future outlook focusing on india/china markets and even talking of particular % share. have no doubt yesterday's pop-up was heavy-weighters' reaction on that declaration - whats the primary source of the info btw? since jts canceled their 3" program there was a great deal of uncertainty among investing community as to whether there will be strong and clear head direction in marketing/production/r&d policy whereupon business model could be re-calculated for financial projections to be done to set acceptable stock price range. speaking this way they are showing a bit of aggressive approach which can be seen as a good sign of co.'s vitality under current poor market environment for DD. also they can grab a fair amount investors sentiment pushing an idea of taking some fight against bigger players (seg, qntm, ibm, wdc, maxtor, fujitsu, samsung, etc) while they are suffering from industry down cycle. manufactoring operations expansion should make us believe there may rise a couple of not-so-bad oem deals in the near future, add the latest hdd review going as far as claiming jts' among best looking items around in terms of price/perfomance into the bargain and we'll probably have another interest/volume-raising up-trend timeframe. in case they like to see the stock moving the same way we enjoyed yesterday, they have to be thinking of keeping loading the street busy with nice slogans like those we found in RD post.
