The media is going nuts because of the new CoViD variant. Estimates vary from just a “few” cases to claims that it makes up the majority of all cases in some countries, replacing Delta.

Spent an hour giving business to Google, but couldn’t find any data about how severe the new variant is, and how many people it puts in hospitals, and how many die. Found a single mention that clinically, it doesn’t seem different from Delta. Many cases are asymptomatic. So, of course, it’s early to make conclusions, but sounds like it may be not too bad. We shall see.

In the meantime, the global 24h “news” propaganda is already treating it like the end of the world. Why? Beats me. It’s been known for many decades that RNA viruses usually keep changing. That’s why we keep getting the “same” common colds all the time.
