A “WhatsApp” message I received Friday evening from the principal of a school with around 600 to700 pupils in the greater Tel Aviv region, where I was a substitute teacher several times. Few of the children were unruly or refused to make their study work, and disturbed the ongoing lesson. The text below is translated from Hebrew on FB

Hi Haim, how are you? I want to apologize to you for the mental anguish caused to you in sixth grade. You are an amazing personality, a person of his stature and above who is honored to us that you came to us and I am sorry you had to go through that. It is important to me that you know that this has nothing to do with you of course but only with the children - there are many children who think that everything is allowed for them and there is no limit to the impudence and backing they receive from their parents.
