It's interesting actually .. I went to a prep school .. fully half my classmates became Dentists or Doctors.. so I have a pristine handle on how smart the average Canadian doc really is :) Smarter than me NO.. more educated in the field of course.. but in general NO... My osteo doc questioned my beliefs .. while I was waiting she went and checked my vit D3 assertions... came back and said U R correct... I need to update ... problem iu in Canada (I guess US also) gov guidelines need be followed to NOT GET SUED :( So there are some good docs :) as an aside... anecdote.. Her name was Lee.. and she extremely attractive .. so I asked her some things in Cantonese .. I was terribly embarrassed when she said I do not speak Chinese.. I am Korean by birth ... LOL... Lee also pretty common in Korea... shot down by my own hubris :) but my God she WAS so pretty.. was sorry my ostes came under control LOL
