With the discussion about possible disappointments for 3Q going on here, I just wanted to re-post this bit of news from yesterday.

Please note that even with the "challenges" of 3Q, Zip maintained its number three sales position. The Jaz shot up from number seven in August to number four in September. That is a significant achievement.

Also please note that the top two sellers on the list are monitors. Since many (most?) computer sales are w/o monitors, it stands to reason that monitors should head the list. What this would indicate is that aside from purchasing an absolutely essential piece of equipment (monitors) - IO's products head the list.

Flip through any computer catalog, or visit a store and see just how many "extra things" there are competing for the consumers dollar. Not only are the Zip and Jaz outselling the removeable storage competition - they are also outselling almost all the competition for any type of add-on hardware.

While this doesn't guarantee a good 3Q report, I feel more comfortable with it than I would if the results were otherwise.
