What happen to the Granite purchase?

Will a Catalyst route IP. Will a Catalyst route between VLAN's inside the box? Does Catalyst support 802.1q tagging?

Accelar routes IP @ 7M pps. Accellar does policy (protocol) baced VLAN's and will route between them (7Mpps)in the box. Accelar has one GUI interface to manage a large community of switches and VLAN capabilities.

So you hand off your speedy (not 7Mpps) Catalyst traffic to a traditional software router. Sounds like shoving a watermellon down a firehose to me.
