I hate that we are to a large part hogtied to giving "revenue" to the enemy.

I cannot avoid Yahoo - my number one email that I have used for about 20 years is tied to Yahoo.

But where would I go? To Gmail? I have that too (it's in my profile). I despise everything
both of them stand for.

Now with Covid and all the mask mandates, I am ordering from Amazon almost daily - talk about
the enemy!

And I use YouTube several times a day for things that are not available elsewhere - for example,
my ongoing effort to learn how to grow bonsai trees.

So right now, I think it is more important that we appreciate the latitude we are given
here on SI to have a place where people can trust that we make a real effort to
post truths that they may not easily get otherwise.
