I am a new investor in Hummingbird. I did my research in the last month and it met my long term criteria (after minor bending here and there). I investigated them because I use their Exceed product at work and home and think very highly of it (and have read a few reviews that concur).

Now if this stock had already been "discovered," then I wouldn't be "in" now, and you wouldn't have wanted me missing the party, would you?

I have no doubt that if they keep hitting 20-25% growth over the next five years that the stock will follow, and my timeline for this one is about three years. I know some of you already have been in it for two years, and that IS quite a bummer. But I have my more than my share of those experiences already.

I also think this is one of the best forums I follow -- it's not populated by manipulator-wanna-bes and it's followers believe in the fundamentals. But that doesn't surprise me since I was attracted here by the fundamentals, too.

BTW, I think this stock is heavily manipulated -- that's how you got that outrageous spike last year -- but in looking at the fundamentals and the shorts, I don't see how the stock could be wriggled much lower by the MM. It's all up to Hummingbird now.

At one time there was a nice piece you could link to from SI about market manipulation. One of the article's points that I keep in mind is that the MM's method of getting in the lowest possible price for himself is to shake the last apple from the tree. In the past, this last apple has been me. Just when I threw in the towel and sold my shares, the stock finally would miraculously take flight. Now I do like the Fools do: I don't sell unless I have a better place to put my money! And know that for me at least, HUMCF *IS* the better place I just put my money.

When I look at the last couple of months for HUMCF, it looks like its tree shaking time. I'm in another stock that declined to the tree shaking point, and it *is* hard to resist selling when that happens. But believing it's tree-shaking makes all the difference in the world.
