It was only very recently that I became aware of the SAD passing away of Bill Millan, aka LindyBill. This most likely was because I last posted here in February this year and came across a reference to this sad event in another board.

I have a suggestion to make .........

This board was set up on certain Principles that LindyBill clearly enunciated in its Header and to which he adhered to as long as he was in charge. But he could only do that as long as he was its MODERATOR.

Now that LindyBill has passed on there is NO MODERATING able to be carried out. There is therefore the Danger that the board could very well go the way of "Formerly About Advanced Micro Devices" if there is no longer a Guiding Hand of a LindyBill to keep this board true to his original Intent.

So I suggest that "SI MANAGEMENT" be approached and request that they appoint a new Moderator, someone who respected and would uphold what LindyBill stood for.

This type of appointment has been done in the past. For example there is the board "Value Investing".

It was originally created by Michael Burry. He decided to "move on". SI management, "SI Dave", then appointed Paul Senior as its new Moderator back in January 2006 (See post #23033 on that board).

I was one of the first to congratulate Paul Senior (#23037) despite the fact that we have "crossed swords" a few times since then !! {;-)
