The point is that the article maintains a huge expenditure of 400 million British pounds and hiring 350 new technicians to bring online extra capacity and that the expansion will not be complete until 2023 or 2024.

Martin Meeson, chief executive of Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, said: “There has never been a more important time to invest in biopharmaceuticals and £400m, the largest investment in British biopharmaceutical manufacturing for decades, signals our intent … to help solve public health demands, and deliver the medicines and vaccines of tomorrow.

Now. If you know about the FDA approval of Cominarty (The Pfizer jab) then you will also know that there is only one BioNTech plant in Germany that has been approved to produce the approved version so far and according to the approval letter, all vaxes must come from that plant and that plant alone if they are to be sold in the USA.

Once you get a feel for the logistics of pharmaceutical production, his statements make sense. Never in history have any vaccines been produced inside of one year to the tune of multiple billions. We also now that so far, over 460 million doses of Covid jabs have been administered in the USA alone and we are only 11 months into this.
