We have 5 grandkids - and raising them costs a fortune. Doesn’t seem like anything excessive - but from various daycare arrangements to summer camps - it gets to be seriously expensive. Yep, it seems to be a big factor. Very different from the times when my generation was growing up - just play with your friends in the neighborhood, and come back home when you’re hungry.
