Sleaze is certainly not confined to ANY ideology or spirit, John. Take a good look at the "Christian" TV crowd, the S&L grabfest, the CIA, and the administrations of almost every President of this country. Look at professional and "college" sports. Hell, look at King David!

Has there ever been a president who did not have an appetite for power? Please point him out to me. And realize that what is said about candidates for office by other candidates for (the same) office tends to be exaggerated a bit.

In a purely historical perspective, Clinton's first term has been successful, regardless of the moral, political or religious context you bring to it. If the country can get shed of some of the more egregious loons on both sides of the aisle, the next four years can be very productive. Imagine the bennies of the "peace dividend" AND the national debt reduction kicking in at the same time?
