HI Lou,

"Not all that surprising Lee - almost 2/3 of Americans live paycheck to paycheck."

Sadly, those 2/3rds live well beyond their means, embrace debt for "Experiences" and do not have a disciplined savings investment plan.

I worked my way through college, and it took me 6.5 years of being broke.

Once I got my BSIA - marketing , I paid off my student debt early and saved 25% of my after tax entry level check and bought stocks.

Many of those paycheck to paycheck folks needed to have a high school basic economy/savings/financial planning courses. Fortunately at the age of 19, working in GM plant, I got the education for free - GET AN EDUCATION!

Our public education system is backward and broken.

Our public health care system is just as bad. IMO
In both cases the losers rely on government to handle their business, a fatal mistake if you want to have an increasingly better lifestyle - the key posit of American Greatness/Exceptionalism.

We need to get back to the basics!

If you allow/accept mediocrity as a lifestyle, it is what you get.

Suck it up buttercup!

Bob
