| | | Accolades are always problematic here. We don't all buy the same stocks, and since this is presumably a value thread, it's expected that it takes time for picks to work out. So if somebody recommends something today, it might be two years before success could be seen. And if you didn't buy the stock, two years from now you very likely wouldn't remember it was even mentioned here or more likely, even who mentioned it.
Well, I'm in this boat as well. Lot of good picks by people, but I can't remember them or when or by whom they were mentioned because I didn't buy or hold those stocks.
Some examples:

big discussion of Travel Centers? here by scbeachbum? I remember only because I was so negative on it because of mangement. Worked out really great - multibagger if I remember - if you bought and held through.
Some examples specifically where I was in so I see everyday the success of the pick. You very well might not realize it if you didn't buy at the post and hold on:

Otoh, we are able to see very excellent picks by some people who do post here to give frequent updates to those picks.

I'm losing a couple IQ points every year at my age (Ok, maybe there weren't that many to start), so please excuse because I right now can't call out or remember specifically unrecognized good picks by other people here, (e.g. EKS, Madharry). I know we have them! |
