Why is it that when shorts start expressing their opinions on boards, the comments turn hostile and nasty? I've seen this pattern over and over again whenever you people start posting.

Well, of course if you're on a discussion group where everybody is long and thinks that the company is great there won't be a lot of hostility. I mean, come on.

It's when people have significant differences of opinion that conflict starts. It isn't just shorts who are hostile. Often longs are extremely hostile, especially when the first negative comments are posted by a short seller.

I agree, though, that people could be more polite. I personally don't like it when people just post sarcastic and insulting comments. They're a waste of time. If the posters were more creative in their insults it might be interesting, most of the time it's just boring. Like having to listen to a married couple having an argument.
