"The drop in price from $250 to $7"

I'm not sure what time period you are referring to, but cognizance needs to be taken of the fact that UAN had a 1:10 Split towards the end of 2020.

His price numbers are correct. UAN went from about $25 in 2012 to about 70 cents last year. Then they did a 1 for 10 reverse so the numbers are about $250 to about $7.

But I don't think looking in the rear view mirror in order to determine whether UAN is an "excellent company with stellar management" is all that useful. UAN is a very small producer (two US manufacturing plants) of ammonia fertilizer and UAN32 fertilizer. The key investment thesis for UAN is whether those two fertilizers will be profitable to produce from here out. Obviously, from 2014-2022 it was not very profitable to be a maker of those two products. Today it is phenomenally profitable. What will happen next year in the ammonia fertilizer and UAN32 fertilizer segments? Donno, but the "vibe" is positive.....
