Clemson's Tony Elliott accepted the Virginia job this afternoon. No word yet if he will take any of the Clemson staff with him to Virginia. You don't have to worry about the field being less wide open for someone looking for a DC or OC. BV was considered one of the top DC in the country. He is being replaced by someone already on the Clemson back office staff 99% of the fans (including myself) had never heard before this week. Never been an on field coach or recruiter. He did spend some time in the NFL as an analysis. Needless to say the message boards are blowing up. Dabo being Dabo.

He is also going to promote in house Elliott's job. The QB coach will be the OC and a guy who's highest job before was high school coach will be a full time coach. Dabo hired him a few years ago to be an analysis with the promise of a full time job at some point. That along with Clemson's AD taking the Miami job has made it a long week here.

Venables also hired two analysis off the Clemson staff. Ted Roof to be his DC and another never been a coach before to be his DE coach. I like his hire for DE as he could easily be a star one day. I also like his hire of OC from Ole Miss Jeff Lebby.

In other news Napier has asked all previous committed recruits to submit a video tape of their current season highlights before they sign. This has raised a lot of eyebrows in Florida. He's already cut some of the commits before they signed. Trying to build a new culture there.

Texas money going to try and buy a National Championship.
