".... stellar management"
Been in UAN for many years (even before their last acquisition) and would say management is just average. That observation is based on their prior 5 year operation history where they lost money!

That said, with any cyclical company during the "up cycle" should shovel in the money. Hope they can book very large gains to help them through the slow periods that will eventually come.

FWIW Still own all my shares w/ a few very small sales this year at/above $81/share.

Ugg! Now must deal w/ the dreaded K1 completing that schedule to figuring out my cost basis on the FIFO shares sold (depreciation recapture so I can pay gains at ordinary income tax rates).

. . . and Turbo Tax does not do that recapture calculation correctly unless you fool the software to post the correct ordinary income.
-------------------------------------------------

Already started to work on 2021 taxes specifically preparing the income/expense for my income property. No depreciation recapture but have a few expenses that must be depreciated rather than expensed or added to the property cost basis.

MLP accounting is similar but the MLP calculates your cost basis for each share you eventually sell (that includes the accumulated depreciation subject to recapture).
