Seems to me just a few weeks ago i posted here noting the NIL money might have far more impact on the NFL game than it does harm to the college game... as some kids might make a career of it while in school... and retire with the $ without ever having to take the NFL's brand of punishment... ?

Seems like a few weeks later we're half way there...

I think Dabo being Dabo... is the right way to build a program long term... with a staff that's not just a collection of who ever you could scrape together and try to make a go of with at the time you need to make a hire...

Promote from within... and you'll get quality in those others that fill those slots knowing they're "on track"... ? Right way to build a program...

And, the success or failure of an OC or DC... has shit all to do with... on field coaching... or fans opinions ?

I'd think the road from analyst to OC/DC... not problematic... but, the road from there to head coach... ? If you can hire that way... and get NFL quality guys who WON'T be moving along to a bigger paycheck as HC somewhere next season ?

The rumors been flying thick/fast at Clemson for a couple of years now, though... while none of those guys did make the move ? And this year... they're both heading off ? Wondering how Dabo manages that... if it says he was ready to let them go this time... or that they were just more than ready to move on, this time. ?

So many aspects of the game changing all at once... probably going to keep changing at this pace for another few years as things get sorted out... and we'll find out in a year or two if its "improvement"... or just "disruption"...

My guess is... the players will be a lot better off... and not just in the monetary sense...

But, probably the least benefit... will accrue to the fans... until the dust settles a bit...
