Barry / re. Eagle

I don't begin to claim Kerm's expertise, nor have I typically taken the time
to do his careful research. That said, I'm on the ground in Calgary, and
I know people who are taking flyers on these kinds of stocks (myself
included).

I spoke to someone last night who is into Eagle. You are correct, they
have completed the vertical portion of the well in Algeria, and are now going
to punch horizontal. The talk is about production in terms of thousands
of barrels per day, rather than the hundreds that would make for a good
well in the Western Sedimentary Basin.

You bet, if the press release is good, the stock will shoot up. People are
in to this one for the upside on the stock, which could be 2x or 3x (or more).
The downside could be pretty substantial too. For those of us on the outside
looking in (i.e. people who don't know much about the petroleum
geology of Algeria), you have to call this a very speculative play.

So how much do you like to gamble?
