Mike, your comment on this please!
Tom Kurlak said to his sales force this morning: "strong demand for microprocessors and DRAMs, we're looking for the possibility of a panic buying situation for these devices in the short-term. Also, the semiconductor industry doesn't respond quickly to higher orders. It takes several months to raise output. Consequently, that will tighten the market and (lift) spot prices for chips in the next few months."

My comment is this: it is easy to sell even pet-rocks if the public is so willing to buy. In this buying spree, Tom must be taking pride in his "buy" calls on Intel in mid 80's and Micorn in low 20's. Is it just me who keeps remembering his "sell" on Intel at 50 earlier this year and "buy" on Micron at the top? Any body?
