I have no concerns just trying to understand why they set up such a complicated structure. Prior to Icahn's involvement was UAN a MLP and/or just an LLC owned/control by CVR Energy?

I own another Icahn investment in NWL. I can see how they restructured, made new capital investments and his son now on that board. Their turn around is now in year 2 and at some point I expect them to exit that investment and move on to something else.

Icahn typically has a plan and exit strategy for all of his investments. It's been 9 years w/ CVI so I would think they are close to achieving their original investment goals.

If I was Icahn. I would be looking to sell CVI but perhaps he has more to do in his restructure.

I do know that UAN has a long term contract for the 'coke' feedstock that CVR Energy produces

Maybe there are tax reasons why they keep UAN in a MLP. I do recall KMI and other MLP's were converted to 'C' corps.

Have you ever looked at Cvr Energy Inc (CVI)?

UAN is tied to the hip of CVI so where CVI goes, so does UAN. (just saying)

Maybe Icahn's long term plan is to create separate 'C' Corp entities
