Hello folks: I've come over from the NorAm Gaming thread (NRAG) to pose a question or two about subject matter of mutual interest. As you might know, NorAm has a contract to provide VLT machines to Venezuela and is providing slot machines to the Mandarin casino. However, since NorAm is currently in merger/acquisition talks, they are in a QUIET MODE so we don't know much about what's going on.

1) Does anyone know if ANY casino has received its new operating license yet?

2) Have any of your friends in Caracus seen one of the new VLT's in operation yet. There should be about 100 of them on line by now. Maybe 200. They should be nice new modern machines with a $4000 max jackpot, located in stores, bars, shops, malls, etc. We are trying to find someone in V-land that can confirm this for us.

3) Have you folks heard about any activities by a company called LYMCA? They have the primary contract with Caracas to supply the video lottery system and is involved with casinos in Venezuela.

An answer to question #1 would be of real interest to everyone. The government was supposed to issue its first license in mid-January.

If you are interested in NorAm, check my FAQ document...

Thanks in advance.
