Yeah, it's actually pretty spooky.
We notice a lot of stuff here because
of the Gulf Stream coming up the coast.
I think it was maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago,
a biologist from the university in Halifax
was doing some diving with a buddy
and a Great White Shark swam up to them twice
before they could get back to the surface.
They come up here -- and seem to be getting
more of them as time goes by,
but they have tagged quite a few
and normally they'd be headed back south.
Also at least two or three people I have heard of
have found Sea horses attached to sea weed.
This is not really their range at all ....
they are from further south.
One marine biologist from here has been
seeing quite a few fish that are not normally
found in these waters.
And then there is the anecdotal stuff like the
lobster fisherman saying the water is really warm
compared to what it used to be.
The change is coming on pretty fast.
