Indeed. That’s where the money started flowing from.

Great article. Really reads like a spy novel. But it seems to me - for as long as big money can be made hacking, there will always be enough talent willing to do it. Even if they catch those big name leaders — there will be instant replacements. It’s just like the opioid business. Arresting a cartel boss may feel good, but doesn’t solve all that much.

Probably, the answer is in revolutionizing cyber security. In making computers very difficult - to impossible - to hack. If hacking no longer pays, they’ll stop (until they find ways to do it again).
