It appears I'm unable to access the old SA chat blog -- so I will be posting here and at Dividend Forum more often. I am trimming CLX in my TIRA (it's nicely back up today) and using the proceeds to open positions in QYLD and XYLD (both are down a bit today).
As some of you know I have about 18% of my portfolio in CEFs and these etfs seem to operate like giant CEFs using covered calls, etc. -- but on the index. I will collect dividends (as I do with all these investments) and allocate the cash into whatever I decide to buy "next".
My goal this year and next is to increase cash flow so I can begin to take supplemental income from my portfolio by 2023-24 at the latest. FYI I'm careful to continue including some "growth" while I chase the yield :)).
