I like UTG and I think I have them in every portfolio I manage that holds any CEF's.

For UTG specifically, they are one of only a handful of CEFs that have never cut their distribution, while at the same time having inception previous to 2008/09's financial crisis. That's quite a feat considering that CEFs launched previous to those years now have two black swan events under their belt. UTG has even boosted its monthly distribution several times. Earlier this year marked the 12th increase going back to early 2004.

In addition to this, they have paid out several special distributions.

With it selling at a price to NAV under it's 52 week average, I think it's a good time to buy.
