Did give the wife pepcid and fluvaxamin and NAC and Quercitin and Zinc and ASA. As well as ivermectin At day five gave 4mg of methyprednisolone a day for 3 days to cool down any over reaction by immune system. I learned today about benadryl and would add that in. Had she shown any evidence of worsening around day 6 I would have been more aggresive with prednisolone. I have one of the best ophthalmologist in the country down in Fort Myers Florida. He called me up when he got the virus as I had impressed him with my knowledge a month before. I walked him through his recovery and he is sending me emails telling me I saved his life
Of all medicines above probably only methylprednisolone had any significant risk. I did read that with severe hospitalized patients it increases survival by several times and yet viral clearance occurs at the same time in both sets of patients on or off steroids.I would not give this early in the course. Taper in day 6 or 7 and go high dose only in bad situations prior to taking to ER Oh I did use ampicillin too to block them orf red blood cell receptors but only at day 5
