I should add that the rotary wire brush factory that I had the pleasure to visit had an 8:00PM visit time.

They were not that busy at the time, so I arrived to a factory that was not in production. It was dark, and I just spoke with the factory director and inspected the factory. That was not uncommon, as I worked 24/7 in those days, and I didn't care about your sleep schedule.

They were in the outskirts of Yiwu, the town in Zhejiang province know for "small items."

Later, I visited a mosque in Yiwu that was built with money sent by the Saudi's, which was surreal. I also visited a Christian church in the same town. I was trying to place this in context of the business I was doing. It was very important to know the government in these days, which was why I was going around this province, as it produced President Xi.

This was 20-year ago in China. It was rather shocking at the time. It's still shocking now.
