The closer a virus is to a virus that you have had before the better your immune system responds. The goes for the common cold and for Covid -19. Try living on island by yourself for 20 years (IE give the common cold 20 years to mutate) and then come back to civilization and catch the common cold and you will see that your immune was working against the common cold as expected all along. Just as it will against Covid-19.

It has already been proven by studies that people exposed to SARS-CoV (circa 2003) have some natural protection to Covid-19 coming from their immune system memory and that their natural protection lasted the 15+ years since the SARs outbreak.

Also it was theorized early in Covid-19 that based on the SARS data that natural immune protection from Covid-19 would be similar (IE lasting 15+ years). Now that theory is being proven slowly as time passes, but no way to know 100% for sure for 15 years. But so far the theory stands as it has already been proven that natural immunity is more durable than the vaccines which only lasts 3-6 months.

My 50 year brother was fully vaccinated and was about to get a booster, then he caught covid-19, and now he has natural immunity. Now he is likely good for at least 15 years instead of maybe 6 months. Meanwhile everyone else keep taking your boosters 3, then 4, then 5, then 6, etc. (2 a year until covid-19 breaks through the shite vaccine or they die). I am sure Pfizer appreciates the customer loyalty. <G>
