On the radio station that I listen to daily lately the commercials that I am hearing between music are like this:

1. Commercial encouraging you to get vaccinated ending with sponsored by Pfizer.
2. Miscellaneous commercial.
3. Miscellaneous commercial.
4. Commercial reminding you that even during the pandemic heart disease is still the number one killer and encouraging you to see your doctor if you are having any heart related symptoms including arrhythmias. Ending with...Can you guess it?...sponsored by your friends at Pfizer.

The boldness/brazenness of the $$'s focused medical care news/marketing in the US is outrageous yet most people truly believe that Pfizer and government is heroically looking out for them and their health.

When I was a kid any advertising of drugs and other medical treatments was considered unethical and was highly frowned upon. It was your doctors job to evaluate treatments and work with you and come up with a treatment plan that was right for you. IE you put all your trust in your chosen doctor to give you informed, ethical, non $$ focused, and non biased treatment advice. Of course back then, the drug pushers were always trying to sway and corrupt the doctors...so it was never perfect.

But now the drug pushers sell directly to the, generally speaking, uniformed, uneducated, unscientific, easily scared, easily influenced, masses through ads and they enhance their unethical advertising campaigns by buying into and influencing political power as well as the media.
