additional point, that most STEM folks in China are able to engage w/ their chosen field in a foreign language, whether English, Russia, German, or Japanese
OTOH, I am doubtful that the reverse is true
So, over time, I think a gap can easily open up until such time STEM folks elsewhere can engage w/ their chosen field in Chinese
Potentially, imaginable to me, that China, whilst reverting to the 35% of global GDP, might also open up the gap of STEM, not as once was at 150 years, but say, a modest 30 years :0)
