Actually, try running BeOS just for fun. I have a dual
604e 180MHz upgrade card in my 7500, and when I run BeOS
on this machine, Web browsing goes like lightning. Quite
impressive. Not alot of software out their, but you really
do get the sense for how much snappier a fully PPC native
multithreaded multiprocessor compatible OS would be like
on your Mac. Scary thing, though, is that early reports
are that BeOS on Intel is faster than PPC version, although
I can't imagine why.
