That’s correct. The closing price is adjusted by the stock exchange for every equity whenever a dividend is paid. Schwab will be showing it sooner or later. And it is a gimmick. The stock never traded at the adjusted price. It is a adjustment to the previous day’s close. There are other paid corporate expenses which are not adjusted by the exchange.

However your purchase price is your purchase price. That is only affected by splits.
