Unfortunately, that is up to the legislature not the governor. And they clearly won't do the job that is necessary. The governor can ask them to do their job equitably but they don't have to respond to his request. And given the way they have gerrymandered a 50-50 state into a state that is likely to have a Congressional delegation of either 10-4 or 11-3 if their current map is accepted by the NC Supreme Court, it is highly unlikely that anything will change their minds.

And their legislature maps are even worse than their Congressional maps I have heard.

But of course, that doesn't count as corruption in the fevered brains of Trumpsters.
