Actually, that is how it DID happen. Well-documented, proven, and for you to claim it didn't happen is just refusing to see it because you don't want it to be true.
>> Of course not. Not only can you not show that votes were bought, you can't even show that Hemingway demonstrated that votes were bought.
You're zeroing in on the terminology, instead the fact the race was stolen. "Bought" doesn't imply I had you cash in exchange for your personal vote. It implies that someone handed someone else cash in exchange for the ability to control the ultimate vote count.
Votes can be bought by politicians claiming they will cancel student loans in exchange for their votes. Bernie Sanders has bought votes -- very successfully - with free stuff like promises of higher minimum wages and numerous other "freebies".
So, the term "bought" is very broad, and almost never involves cash payments.
In this case, Zuckerberg bought facilities that were placed in accordance with his own data science operation's planning so that it was known, statistically, those facilities would bring in Democrat, but not Republican, votes.
It is entirely acceptable for a candidate's people to determine these sites. But it is NOT okay for private contributors to fund voting operations at those sites. That is RIGGING an election. In my parlance, "buying votes".
By spending money, Zuckerberg got the votes he wanted. That was BUYING votes. |
