BTW, following up to this Message 33634821 the father, Simon, is all well. Omicron, at least in Simon’s case, did not impact his taste buds. He thinks he is as good as new. Omicron seems a bad flu but ‘shorter’ than a bad flu. One data point. But if Simon is right, and his report from the hospital visit says he might be right, that most folks in S Africa caught by Omicron are not bothering to visit the hospital.
