Hi John,
Woodfield Mall gears up for indoor NASCAR Speedway Feb-04-1998 5:38 PM, Chicago Daily Herald, Dave Boe - A new driving experience is speeding its way to Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.
The NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway, a state-of-the-art, full-size stock car, two-seat simulators offers all the excitement of real NASCAR racing.
This is only the second in a nationwide network of motorsports- themed, family-orientated retail entertainment centers to open. The first debuted last September in Mall of America. Four more are scheduled to open by the end of 1998.
Each of the 12 race car simulators resemble an authentic stock car on a sesponive, full-motion platform. Enthusiasts get behind the wheel of a fully-equipped, 700 horsepower stock car and drive head- to-head under realistic racing conditions.
Each 20-minute interactive, real-time action experinece costs $7.50 for the driver, and $2.50 for the passenger.
The 6,100 square foot indoor speedway center with simulators will be located on Woodfield Mall's main level, across from Rainforest Cafe. The facility is expected open by mid March. (end repost)
Should help us a little bit. I know simulated stock car racing always gives me an appetite.
Regards, Dennis |
