Newfie Stock RRGs Weekly
This is three weeks on the weekly RRG. The stock continue to sustain the odd segregation I've noted in prior posting... divided now into two camps... the red team and the blue team...
Note... none are over in the green... and the whole crew are pretty far left on the scale... while all of them are holding below the "$BPGDM... which is supposed to be an average of gold mining stocks... so, they're all below average ?
What those two things say: is that the out-performance of Newfie stocks versus other gold stocks that held true throughout the recent market decline over the last year... since the April/May spike with NFGC;s big hole... is no longer true. It says... NFGC's massive mistake in reporting... has effectively poisoned the well for the entire camp...
My view of that, of course... is...
First, that it has no impact at all on what's really in the ground... i don't have any concern that its anything other than an honest incident occurring in a technical failure... In my list of concerns for "value" in the camp... I think its more of an issue for everyone not NFGC that we are seeing narrower intercepts reported than would be preferred, more than that we're not seeing grades as high as we might like ? But, really... that's still just a quibble... when the grades are as high as they are around Queensway... and, its early days, still... a lot of players in the camp still at the stage of collecting soil survey data... so, the pace is as slow right now as it is likely to get, again...
Second... thanks for the sale prices... I've added a bit of this and that... at the end of September... and again in the last week... only a few left that are still near recent lows...
Third... I know that the news flow has... slowed down or stopped... but that the pace in activity has not... so, there's a big backlog in news overdue... which I think is reasonable to think might continue to be overdue for a time yet... until... I'd expect news flow remains slow... until NFGC "fixes it" and removes the dark cloud.
So, that's future upside... in news picking back up at some point where the cloud is lifted...
Fourth... NFGC working to get the new tools in place... so that obstacles in the pace at which lab work gets done are removed... at the same time that "nugget effects" are obviated as a reporting risk in future reports of work done in the camp... I think NFGC has a role in leadership in the camp... that means we should be looking to them to "fix it"... in a way that extracts the poison from the well... and mostly they're just being really quiet about things now...
But, it's also pretty clear that the dark cloud layer that's set in on reporting is self imposed as much as anything else now.. Those that have had some positive news to report... have been rewarded for sharing it... while those putting out "place holder" PR with news devoid of content... have been hurt by it more than helped.
