I think BPX is 9.6 Gbp switch that carries ATM traffic from edge FR
switch or feeder. AXIS is another STRM edge product that provides
FR services to the customer. I think STRM has put OC-3 and T3 FR
sevice card on the AXIS. AXIS and BPX together forms AT&T Interspan Frame Relay networks that offer the customer FR services. The actual switching is taken place at BPX.

I hope this will clear up the air. I don't know much about ASND's
FR system. May be you can share some light on that.
