Before you totally rip my head off <g> and/or
before I drive you totally crazy/nuts with some of my
posts ..... please let me explain.
(1) I am past the point of *any* concern about Synvisc.
(2) I am past the point of *any* concern about BIOX
making $$$. Their GM% is off the wall <VBG>.
(3) I am past the point of *ever* worrying about how long
Synvisc works. I *never* was worried.
(4) If we were having a baseball game and could have EITHER
AHP or BMY. I'd take AHP. You or someone
else <G> might take BMY. Fine. But I'd rather be in
a foxhole with AHP.
Others will disagree - fine - these are my beliefs.
Which leads me to the THEREFORE ......
I am seeking out 2 things ....
(A) Ever piece of MARKETING (Print/TV/Radio) info
I can find out about.
(B) *EVERY USE* of Synvisc, up to AND including
it being used for the common cold. The *fact* that it
does not cure the common cold doesn't bother me.
What I am *EXCITED* about is all the AD-HOC uses it
is being tried out on.
To wit (and I apologize for the bad spelling in advance).
We already KNOW ..
(1) It is being used as a SUBSITUTE FOR TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT.
i.e. let someone use it for 5 or 10 years and then
get a TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENTS.
(2) From Aaron ... it is being used jointly with arthoscopic
surgery.
In the cases Aaron reported, not successfully.
BUT, IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, THOSE DOCTORS WENT BACK
AND USED IT AGAIN.
Remember - this puppy is ONLY 4 months old.
I call that being MOTIVATED about a product .....
(3) As per my last post, its being used for WILD STUFF.
And yes, it surely (and unfortunately) could not
help that women.
But the fact that they tried it .... I AM VERY
IMPRESSED.
Well, *WE* (you and me and everyone else on this thread) have
to keep up with this WILD STUFF. Hell, the regular, what
it was approved for stuff , shucks - thats in the bank.
However, suppose AAron, or you, or Jon, or James or ....
found out that somebody put it in a finger joint, or a ....
and it worked. And worked again and again and again ...
Believe me - once I was sure of the facts, I'd buy more BIOX.
Now, concommitant with this, I post the bad news too.
I just do.
And I don't think it is irresponsible.
Lastly, I don't want to editorialize when I post a negative
story. Just not my style.
Thats it.
I'm NOT trying to JUSTIFY my reasons, hell, they probably
cannot be justified, but I am trying to explain
why I post what I post.
I hope that although you may absolutely disagree with my
logic, you at least appreciate the fact that I think
so highly of you that I took the time to explain my
actions.
