Don't get me wrong. As a multi-generational Texan, I have strong libertarian leanings. However, it just isn't stable. While what you describe would be nice, the net result would be a patchwork of warlords enslaving the majority of the people. At least that is what has happened historically. Now maybe we can develop a post-scarcity, Star Trek-like world that would operate like that. But it would upset a lot of applecarts and probably lead to chaos. Even in Star Trek canon, that happened and it took the Bell Riots that grew out of a society that is more like what we are growing into to kick off the changes. Quite frankly, the Star Trek canon is wildly optimistic about how those changes would occur.

What you describe sounds great. But if history is any guide, we can only get from point A to point B through chaos and revolution. I just can't see it happening peacefully. Normals just don't do that.
