LSI Logic rarely gets mentioned in BYTE magazine. Who cares about the OEM! So when it is mentioned time to take notice. --- On pages 49 and 50 of the March issue about guess what? DCAM-101 (digital camera chip) Written by Reynaldo Archide of LSI. Mostly greek to me. Engineers would approve. --- Since BYTE does a good job of covering emerging as opposed to obscure technologies maybe this is a good indicator of LSI's future successes in this arena. --- Not available on web-site yet but did find this old article about STBs and their potential: byte.com (If the search engine is correct then the above and an article on NCs [ byte.com ] were the only times LSI was mentioned. Like I said not a lot! But what they do mention is significant. So we can hope that DCAM likewise turns out to be a tour de force.) ---
