Given he was texting Tucker last night saying, "I need to be on your show tomorrow night!", I would say he knew he had screwed up badly. I was floored when I heard it. More importantly, my wife -- who doesn't pay as much attention as I do to politics, was floored when SHE heard it.

He'll likely recover, but it shows how easy it is to screw up a political career.
